I’m knee deep in work this week. I’m editing through our next #kjallaccess episode and as I’m watching myself photograph a wedding from last summer, It makes me so excited for the weddings we have coming up and all of the #kjcouples that we get to introduce you to!!! These two are tying the knot this summer and I cannot WAIT to see Abby as a bride!! Ps. I won’t be pregnant this wedding season!!! 👏👏👏I’ll be able to walk at a normal and not carry 15million snacks in my camera bag!!!!

So.... we took three kids to Disney... and lived t

So.... we took three kids to Disney... and lived to tell about it. 🤣 I will be very transparent... there were many moments when I seriously wondered “what the heck are we doing?!” .... holding a sleeping 3mo old in the 30min line for the Little Mermaid .... carrying a screaming toddler through the streets of the “happiest place on earth” 🤣🤪etc. But then... just before leaving, we let the kids just run around in front of the castle and those were the best moments of the whole adventure. Big thanks to @scrose33 for the Seven Dwarf Mine Train hookup. What a gift! And thank you @steelyomama for making our kids custom embroidered Disney sweatshirts with their names!!! What a surprise!! We met the cousins and Malizia fam there day one and then did another day with Michael’s aunts who Evy refers to as “her best friends”🥰and thank you Grammie and Pa for helping us in our weakest and craziest moments!! Ps. For those who always ask, did I take my R6 to the park? No way! Just an iPhone! I barely had time to use the bathroom much less capture some pictures with my big camera! My phone did just fine! Here are some favorites!!!

Happy Easter from our crazy crew! He is risen!! And because of today, we have hope!!!! Thank you Jesus for loving us enough to make a way for us! And thank you @whitneyahull for becoming a photographer for 6mins so that I didn’t miss my annual family bloom portraits in the neighbors driveway. 🥰

There has been a lot happening in our lives these

There has been a lot happening in our lives these last four months.... and I’m not just talking about a new baby! God has started something new and it’s dramatically shifted what our life looks like. Several year ago, along with a small group of other young families, @michaelalsop and I felt called to start a new service at our church. We had a shared vision that church for our generation needed to be done differently and it was one of our greatest joys to see that service come to fruition. This past fall, just as He did before, God moved this same group of friends into another new adventure. We have felt a deep desire to pursue what it could look like to do “church” differently. The last four months, church for us has looked like worship in living rooms, meals around tables, kids church in the basement, meeting new friends in our community in the evenings and weekends and overall reimagining what it means to be neighbors in our little part of the world. We feel called to start something new.... not something big or shiny... but instead, something intentional, relational and honestly, kind of untraditional..... more like what the church in Acts looked like, just in 2021. We are slowly realizing that change... while it is intimidating and uncomfortable at times... it is full of incredible opportunities and new life. As we approach Easter, our team is sharing what God is showing us in this new season. Michael and I will share later this week both here on my account and on the @porchrva.church as well. I share this because we’ve always shared our life here on our little piece of the internet and we’re excited for what’s to come and the beautiful new beginning in this part of our life!! Let this be an encouragement that change and doing things differently can be powerful, life-giving and freeing!

It seems very sweet that my third boy is turning three months on 3/21 ... #worlddownsyndromeday ... I held him several times today and thought of #jamesmichaelalsop ... my first boy. I only held him for 12-15 hours but he forever changed me and so many others. His extra chromosome may have caused complications that kept him from being a part of our lives here on earth... but it’s also the very thing that made his life so powerful, so impactful, so purposeful. It was his extra chromosome that would forever change the way I would hold and cherish the two precious boys that came after him. ❤️
