Last year, I did not love ANY of my family sessions. I had a few photos from each session that I would feel confident in using for social media, but I just couldn't figure out why I didn't have more photos I was confident in. At some point last year, I think I subconsciously decided to shoot with all of my subjects' heads below the horizon line, so the horizon line wouldn't be going through the middle of their head. After watching the video in the composition course that talked about horizon lines, I went back and looked at the images I didn't like and the images I'd shared on my social media... Guess which images I ended up sharing on social media without even understanding why? The ones where their heads were above the horizon line.
